Join the County Team

We are looking to strengthen the county team with a number of roles:  We know that we have an amazing bunch of volunteers and we are absolutely sure that some of you have the skills, experience and motivation to help us!

Website Task & Finish Group

We’re looking for a team of volunteers to steer a project to overhaul the website.  If you’ve got experience in website development or digitial media, or strong ideas on what the website should include and look like, send us an email saying why you’d be a great person to be involved with the group.

Social Media Team

We’ve recently resurected the three social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.  It would be great if we could create a small team to create engaging content on the three platforms, share pictures from units and engage with our followers. If you’d like to be on the Social Media Team, send us an email.

A Safe Space Trainers

We are looking to build the handful of volunteers who are able to deliver A Safe Space training. Our A Safe Space trainers deliver levels 1 and 2 to those who’d prefer to complete the training led by a trainer instead of online and also level 3 to leaders, and level 4 to commissioners. Training to become a Girlguiding trainer is given by your appointed tutor, and the resources to deliver A Safe Space training courses are all provided for you. 1st Response Trainers

Many of you will have attended a 1st Response session delivered by Kay Dawson, and some of you may know that Kay is moving back to her homeland! She’s very kindly said that she’ll continue to help train Cumbria North members online, but we still need some new 1st Response Trainers to deliver the face-to-face practical sessions, and – when we are permitted – to deliver the full six hour course face-to-face. To deliver the training, you’ll need a current recognised 1st aid certificate and hold the Girlguiding Trainer qualification or an adult teaching or training qualification. All prospective Girlguiding trainers are supported by a tutor who is appointed to you, and all the resources to deliver the 1st Response course are provided.
